1. Kristin Bell
Kristin Bell is well-known for her roles in movies and television. You’ll likely recognize her voice as Anna in the Disney mega-hit animated movie, Frozen. And she and her husband, Dax Shepherd, own the baby product company, Hello Bello.
But Kristin’s favorite gig is rescuing dogs. She has fostered and adopted several dogs throughout the years. And she’s been known to rescue stray dogs on the streets of Los Angeles personally. Kristin admits she’s partial to senior dogs because oftentimes, they’re overlooked in shelters.
2. Dan Levy
Dan Levy is known for his acting chops and for creating the TV show Schitt’s Creek. He’s the son of the famous comedian Eugene Levy.
Dan was also a pet parent to his beloved rescue dog, Redmond. He adopted him at an adoption fair in Los Angeles when he was four years old. He had been mistreated and abandoned. Unfortunately, Redmond passed away in 2019. But Dan used his grief to encourage others to adopt animals.

3. Miley Cyrus
Miley Cyrus is a household name and one of the most famous pop singers on the planet. She’s known for starting as a child actress on the hit Disney Channel show Hannah Montana. And in her adult years has become an artist who has sold over 23 million albums.
Miley is an advocate for pet adoption. As a celebrity with rescued pets, she has a rescued pit bull, which she knew wouldn’t be in the shelter for long due to the stigma around the breed. And the dog now has a forever home with Miley. In addition, the singer has several other animals, including horses and cats.
4. Zac Efron
Zac Efron, of High School Musical and The Greatest Showman fame, is intentional about adopting dogs that would have otherwise been euthanized. The actor is all about using his celebrity to promote dog adoption.
In 2018, Zac fostered a dog rescued from a kill room. He fell in love with her and decided to adopt the pup.
5. Maria Menounos
Maria Menounos is an entertainment reporter and television personality. She’s most known for hosting Extra and E! News entertainment news shows.
She rescues dogs and is an advocate for pet fostering and adoption. Maria has volunteered at shelters and rehomed several dogs on her own.
6. Justin Theroux
Justin Theroux is an actor and filmmaker. He wrote big comedic movies like Tropic Thunder and Zoolander. In addition to his film career, he’s a dog parent.
Justin adopted a pit bull in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. He provided her with a forever home, and she’s often the star of the show on his Instagram. He also spreads the word about the need for more people to adopt pit bulls.
7. Lisa Vanderpump
Lisa Vanderpump is known for roles on reality shows such as Vanderpump Rules and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The restaurant owner also founded The VanderPump Dog Foundation.
The foundation is a dog rescue organization. While based in Los Angeles, they work worldwide to better the lives of dogs and find them forever homes. In addition, the foundation advocates ending the horrific dog meat trade in Asia, including the Yulin Dog Meat Festival in China.

8. Chris Evans
You might know Chris Evans as Captain America. Famous for his Marvel movie character, he’s also known for the film Knives Out.
But it was during his acting role in the movie Gifted that he found his rescue dog. They were filming a scene in a real-life dog shelter, and Chris fell in love with his pup. His dog Dodger is now one of the luckiest pups in the world, as few can claim that they’ve really been rescued by Captain America.
9. Kaley Cuoco
Kaley Cuoco is known for her role as Penny on the hit TV show The Big Bang Theory. And she’s also an animal lover and advocates for pet fostering and adoption. She has multiple rescues, including dogs and goats. In addition, she’s an equestrian with various horses.
10. Jennifer Aniston
Jennifer Aniston will likely always be best known as Rachel on the beloved sitcom, Friends. She’s also a movie star and one of our favorite celebrities with adopted pets.
In her personal life, Jennifer has a few furry friends who she’s given a forever home. She’s a firm believer in pet adoption. And with millions of followers on Instagram, she encourages others to rescue animals.
