Los Angeles isn’t know for its plentiful dog beaches. Sucks. Trust me. Unlike the East Coast and its abundance of excellent options, Los Angeles remains kinda dead. Or so I thought. See, nestled in Los Angeles county sits a wonderful stretch of beach called Rosie’s Dog Beach. Located in the heart of the upscale neighborhood of Belmont Shores, this beach wins our vote for one of the best dog beaches in Los Angeles, well, mostly because it’s one of the only ones.
About Rosie’s Dog Beach
Located between Ocean Blvd, between Granada Avenue and Roycroft Avenue, Rosie’s Dog Beach provides 4 acres of wonderful ocean water front just for dogs. Since this beach does not have any dedicated fencing or zoning, I did notice some cones in place to mark the start and end of the beach. Also nice, was the addition of plenty of poop-bags for dogs, along with plenty of dispensaries in case my lil guy took a massive one on the sand. With plenty of good parking and dog-friendly restaurants near by, Rosie’s is our pick for the best beach for dogs — mostly by default.
